Claude is the strongest commercial fit for document-heavy, regulated, or coding-intensive work. The reasons that come up most often in UK SME and enterprise procurement decisions are concrete rather than aesthetic.

Confirm the endpoint and account access with AWS before relying on UK inference. AWS separately lists Claude Haiku 4.5 on bedrock-mantle for in-region inference in Ireland (eu-west-1) and Stockholm (eu-north-1). Storage, retention and transfers need separate assessment.
  • Agentic tooling depth. Claude Code, Computer Use, and the Model Context Protocol provide a coherent set of connectors for business systems. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 connectors are now generally available.
  • UK government pilot.On 27 January 2026, Anthropic announced its selection to help build and pilot a GOV.UK assistant, initially for employment support. This followed the February 2025 memorandum. DSIT's functions were redistributed across departments in July 2026; the pilot does not establish a general procurement preference.
  • Behavioural fit. Claude tends to refuse less awkwardly, follow instructions more literally, and produce cleaner long-form prose than the equivalent GPT tier. For UK English drafting, internal knowledge management, and client-facing document work, this is a meaningful adoption advantage.

None of this makes Claude the right choice for every case. For broad casual-user automation, reusable instructions and connected apps, image and voice generation, and very high-volume cheap-token workloads, ChatGPT is often the better fit. Engagements run in three phases. Phase 1 begins with a free 30-minute scoping call. We move to a paid engagement only when the fit is real and the client wants to proceed.

Phase 1: Scoping (1 to 2 weeks)

Free 30-minute initial consultation, followed by a paid discovery sprint. Outputs:

  • Prioritised use-case shortlist with hard versus soft benefit separation.
  • Data audit covering availability, quality, sensitivity, and residency constraints.
  • Tier recommendation: Claude.ai Team, Claude.ai Enterprise, or Claude API via Bedrock or Agent Platform.

Phase 2: Build (4 to 12 weeks)

The technical implementation. Scope varies; the recurring building blocks are:

  • Tenancy configuration: Claude.ai Team or Enterprise admin setup, SSO, role-based access, audit logging.
  • Integration with internal systems via MCP, the Anthropic API, Bedrock, or Agent Platform; common targets include Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, document repositories, CRM, and case or matter management systems.

Phase 3: Rollout and adoption (2 to 6 weeks)

The phase most rollouts skip. Outputs:

  • Role-specific training for end users.
  • Admin onboarding for the IT or operations lead.
  • Written acceptable use policy aligned to UK GDPR and the EU AI Act.
  • Adoption measurement: weekly active users, task coverage, time-saved sampling, and a feedback loop into the prompt and tool layer.
  • Optional 4 to 8 week support phase post-go-live to resolve adoption issues before they entrench.
